Association of Children's Hospices: toolkit launch
We organised a parliamentary reception for MPs on behalf of the ACH in order to launch and promote a toolkit aimed at people interested in opening a children’s hospice.
We worked on behalf of ACH to:
identify an appropriate MP to host the reception on their behalf;
conduct a research programme to ensure that the guest list focused on those who would be the most helpful in furthering ACH’s aims;
secure a relevant minister to be a key note speaker at the event;
audience-build for the event – chasing MPs’ offices for responses over a period of weeks in order to secure a healthy turnout;
choreograph the event to ensure maximum impact;
promote the event in the national and specialist media.
The event:
successfully launched and promoted the ACH toolkit;
built on and consolidated relationships with key audiences, eg. MPs, peers, and other relevant stakeholders and interested parties;
raised the profile of ACH and increased awareness of children’s hospices and palliative care services.
