What we do

A circle of people putting their hands into the centreTCC has an established track record of working successfully with diverse communities across the UK to empower, engage, and change behaviour.

We work with public sector clients who are facing up to the challenge of delivering high quality services with less, helping them to change successfully as they strive for excellence.

We specialise in the following areas:

Service transformation - As times get tough, keeping people on board is crucial to making change sustainable and cost-effective. We design and deliver service transformation programmes, in adult social care and elsewhere, that put staff and service users first - understanding their motivations, and supporting them with training, communications and engagement throughout the process.

The Census – The results of the March 2011 Census will determine council budgets for the following 10 years. On average each extra person who fills in the Census will add £5,000 per annum to local public sector budgets. Working with our partners, Cultural Dynamics, CBS Outdoor, Professor Jeff French, and Local Futures, we can increase Census uptake in your area.

Community Cohesion and Equality – We work with many communities that face major challenges around social change, trust and engagement. We have pioneered peer to peer communication networks and tackle anxieties about change with effective two-way communication, and an emotionally intelligent approach.

Social Marketing – We conduct in-depth research with the target audience, and key ‘influencers’ to build a picture of the target audiences lives, their values, and what moves and motivates them. Based on this insight, and working closely with local stakeholders, we develop a mix of interventions aimed at achieving sustainable behaviour change.

Health Insight and Engagement – Innovation and quality are essential to deliver value for money in the health sector. We work with NHS organisations to help them improve patient experience and design effective consultation and communications programmes. We are experts in working with seldom heard groups.

Youth Engagement – We help young people get their voices heard. We have pioneered and now manage Young Mayor schemes across the country, develop Young Citizen’s Panels, and carry out innovative consultations with children and young people from all parts of the community.

Our offices are in Croydon and Sheffield giving us links to the whole UK. Contact us to find out more.

Values Modes

TCC uses Values Modes - designed by our partners at Cultural Dynamics - to help us understand what really motivates individuals and groups in society. Values Modes is based on detailed surveys of the British population since the 1970s, and is helping our clients tackle cohesion challenges, manage change, and pursue focused behaviour change campaigns. To take the quick Values Modes survey and find out more about how understanding different groups could help your organisation, click here.
