Newham - PREVENT
TCC are working with Newham Council on a project with the Young Mayor and Youth Council as part of the PREVENT programme. The project is formed of two parts; an insight gathering phase to understand the motivations behind the radicalisation of young Muslims, and an intervention phase. In the latter, we will work with the Youth Council to interpret the insight and co-design an intervention to address the cause.
We are using Values Modes to look at how values affect how vulnerable young people are to radicalisation. We are also using 'story capture' to collect fragments of narrative from young people across Newham which will be interpreted as part of the insight phase.
