Engaging your communities
With our suite of engagement tools we can reach beyond the usual suspects, gaining meaningful insight.

Toolkits
‘DIY toolkits’ are formulated to provide more in-depth insight for the client, giving local people the tools to do their own consultation, in their own time. These can be targeted at community groups to ensure reach beyond ‘the usual suspects’.
Writing on the Wall
Our portable 2 metre tall, 1 metre wide ‘graffiti wall’ is particular popular with younger people and allows for free expression and quick responses. Our team of experienced staff ensure a good response and the Wall provides a highly visible feature that can be kept as a snapshot of opinion.
VideoQube
Our portable 2 metre by 2 metre ‘big brother diary room’ provides an exciting way for members of the public to take part in short interviews or comment on consultation topics. It attracts those who do not ordinarily engage in such processes and is a visual demonstration of a commitment to public engagement.
Road Shows
Stalls and other engagement activities which visit different locations within a specified geographical area (for example one event in each district within a county). This allows engagement to have a geographical spread and with the attendance and support of senior officers and Members, demonstrates ‘going to the people’ to hear their views. Face-to-face engagement is often the most effective way for local people to feel listened to and establish a two-way dialogue.
Comment Cards
These small ‘postcards’ allow for quick responses from the public. These can be used at road show events and can be given to different organisations to leave in public spaces so residents can fill them in at their leisure and post back using the freepost address on the reverse.
Training the Trainers
A series of events with members internal stakeholders and with voluntary / community organisations in the area about the consultation exercise. This is to ensure ‘buy in’ to the process and to actively involve them in the dissemination of consultation materials.
