Croydon2040

September 22nd saw the launch of Croydon2040, an interactive competition for local schools to create their vision for their borough over the next thirty years. It is part of a larger engagement process called Imagine Croydon which has reached over 18,000 people.  Each week, teams of students will use videos and websites to decide how they will deal with crime, housing, education, leisure and other key areas. Around 30 teams are taking part - including a celebrity group from local Crystal Palace Football Club.

At the end of the ten-week project, there will be prizes for the teams which create the safest, happiest or most cohesive Croydon - and participants will have learned a huge amount about how different policies can affect their communities.
