Making the case for engagement
TCC director of youth services Matthew Upton has just returned from Manchester,
where he spoke to a fringe meeting at the Conservative Party Conference to discuss the future of youth engagement. This follows chief executive Peter Watt's appearance at CYP Now's engagement fringe meeting at the Labour Party Conference in September.
With all parties now open about the need for cuts in public spending, it is becoming increasingly important to make the case for sustained investment in working with young people. The Young Mayor Network, hosted by TCC, will be at the forefront of efforts to ensure that young people's voices continue to be heard.
