Young Mayor Lewisham 2009 Results Announcement
Young Mayor 2009, Lewisham: the winner is Jacob Sakil!Congratulations to Jacob, who has just been elected as the sixth Young Mayor of Lewisham! Jacob is goes to Sedgehill school and has been a member of the young advisors for several years. An incrediable 52.3% of young people in the borough (3% more than last year) voted for their choice from the fifteen candidates standing.
Jacob, who replaces the outgoing Young Mayor Miguel Gutierrez Astudillo, said he wanted to really 'make a difference' for young people and make people see them from a different perspective.
