Community cohesion conference
TCC linked up with our new partners CBS Outdoors on Tuesday 3 November for a community cohesion conference in Barnsley. The conference focused on hate and hidden crime in Britain and delegates were asked what difference they could make to ensure a reduction in such crimes. TCC were asked to attend to discuss their community engagement consultations which explore the issues that unite communities and can help local authorities reduce tensions between different residents.These activities are complemented by CBS Outdoors with their promotional campaigns that raise awareness of issues in the community. CBS Outdoors have recently completed a project for the 'Hope not Hate' campaign where the campaign's director spoke at the conference on the raise of the BNP.
TCC and CBS Outdoors handed out a number of packs on their community cohesion offering and case studies of recent projects that had been completed for Bexley, Barking and Dagenham and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
