YMN residential 2010

On 9th and 10th April, Young Mayors from across London and the UK came together for the second annual residential of the Young Mayor Network.
This time we went to the Hop Farm in Kent and had a great couple of days in the beautiful spring sunshine as everyone got stuck into activities like teambuilding, paintballing and the terrifying high wires!
We even managed to get some work done - holding three workshop sessions in between our activities. We developed 10 key insights for decision makers to remember when making policy for young people, which we presented our findings to Government Office for London the following Tuesday.
At a time when young people are continually being poorly portrayed in the media and faith in politics is at an all time low, Young Mayors from across the country once again got together to show the positive side of what young people today are all about. We had a great time in the process too!
